This Orange Shirt is a Coast Salish/Palestinian collaboration to honour the Indigenous children who suffered in Residential Schools and their sacred kin, the children of Palestine.

Handala, drawn by Naji Al-Ali, is a Palestinian child who never stops facing home. Here, he is given a xwelmuxw (belongs to the land/Indigenous) sister — their hands joined across oceans, two Peoples bound by the same fight against colonial violence and displacement. Around them, a circle: a sweetgrass braid carrying medicine and prayer, an olive branch reaching toward the land — roots, memory, and a future still being written.

60,000 stitches hold this story in place.

"The children are always ours, every single one of them, all over the globe; and I am beginning to suspect that whoever is incapable of recognizing this may be incapable of morality." — James Baldwin

No one is free until everyone is free. From the Salish Sea to Palestine, occupation is a crime.

This t-shirt is 100% donation — 100% of profit is donated equally to Indigenous and Palestinian causes.
